North American Arms mini-revolvers feature a distinctive safety mechanism designed to protect against accidental discharge, enabling the firearm to be safely carried fully loaded. The safety cylinder incorporates halfway notches positioned between each chamber. Once loaded, the hammer rests in one of these notches. As the hammer is drawn back to firing position, the cylinder advances to align the next chamber. The traditional half-cock position is reserved for loading and unloading purposes only.
