Nosler developed the AccuBond-Long Range bullet in response to long-range hunters seeking a hunting bullet capable of matching modern high-grade optics and ultra-high velocity cartridges to extend practical shooting distances beyond 1,000 yards while maintaining reliable performance on big-game animals. To meet these demanding requirements, the AccuBond-LR bullet features a minimum impact velocity of 1300 fps, allowing it to reliably expand or mushroom at extended distances compared to the 1800 fps minimum impact velocity standard for other Nosler hunting bullets. The lead core is bonded directly to the copper jacket, enabling the AccuBond-LR bullet to withstand extreme velocities. The copper jacket is tapered—thin at the nose and progressively thicker toward the boat-tail base—to optimize performance across a wide range of impact velocities.
