The Patriot Ordnance Factory Revolution is a 308 Winchester rifle engineered to handle and balance like a 5.56 by adopting the same overall dimensions and weight as its smaller-caliber counterpart. This is achieved through the use of a 5.56 bolt carrier and compatible 5.56 components, which allow for a more compact receiver footprint and lighter overall weight. The Revolution shares numerous parts with 5.56 platforms, including the charging handle, bolt carrier, cam pin, buffer, heat sink barrel nut, handguard, and a 5-position gas piston operating system. The barrel extension, bolt assembly, upper receiver, and lower receiver are dimensionally identical to those found on an AR15.
Built on a Gen 4 lower receiver with ambidextrous controls, the Revolution features a 14.5″ MLok MRR free-float handguard and POF’s standard 4.5 lb. drop-in trigger. The 16.5 inch barrel delivers 308 Winchester performance in a platform that feels familiar to users of modern rifle systems.
