The Redding 76269 is a precision-engineered sizing bushing designed for handloaders seeking superior neck tension control. Redding Neck Sizer Bushings freely interchange in all Redding Bushing-Style Sizing Dies. This bushing is heat treated hardened steel with a TiN (Titanium Nitride) coating for greater lubricity, giving the handloader complete control and precision when setting the appropriate neck tension without fear of over working the brass in the case neck.
The bushing measures 1/2″ O.D x 3/8″ long and features a Titanium Nitride surface treatment that increases the lubricity and effective surface hardness to approximately Rc 85. Redding bushings are hand polished with a surface hardness of Rc 60-62 to reduce sizing effort. All bushings are marked with size identification and are available in 0.001 inch increments, covering all calibers from 17 to 338.
By selecting the correct bushing, you are able to set the right amount of neck tension to properly hold the bullet without excessive resizing—determine proper bushing size by measuring the outside neck diameter of a loaded cartridge with a precision micrometer, then subtract 0.001-0.002 inches to allow for brass spring back and bullet tension. Shellholder and dies sold separately.
