The Chiappa Firearms Rhino 60DS is chambered in 9mm Luger with a 6-inch barrel, single/double action, and holds 6 rounds. This revolver features a fixed red fiber optic front sight and an adjustable elevation and windage green fiber optic rear sight, providing enhanced sight acquisition in varied lighting conditions. Built with a 7075 T6 aluminum alloy frame and medium walnut grips, the 60DS delivers a refined balance of durability and handling comfort.
The Rhino fires from the bottom of the cylinder rather than the top, which dramatically reduces muzzle rise and recoil felt by lowering the axis of the bore almost to the palm of the shooter’s hand. An innovative hexagonal cylinder keeps the revolver’s width to a minimum. The snag-resistant “hammer” is actually a cocking device because of the Rhino’s innovative completely enclosed firing mechanism which can be fired either single or double action. A cocked indicator is clearly visible to indicate the internal hammer status.
The 60DS features a black anodized finish on the frame with a blued steel cylinder and black barrel. The revolver includes 3 moon clips for convenient loading. With no manual safety and an overall length of 10-1/2 inches and weight of 2.06 pounds, the Rhino 60DS combines innovative ergonomics with reliable performance for shooters seeking a modern revolver platform.
