The all-new Savage Axis 2 Pro offers hunters even better out-of-the-box performance, loaded with features that deliver tack-driving accuracy on every shot, including the user-adjustable AccuTrigger and thread-in headspacing. Built in 6.5 Creedmoor with a 20-inch barrel and 4-round capacity, this left-hand bolt-action rifle is engineered for both field performance and precision. The Axis 2 Pro features an attractive Forest SP camo pattern that pairs well with the Gun Metal Bronze Cerakote finish on the metal surfaces.
The rifle features a threaded barrel, allowing for the attachment of suppressors or muzzle devices, and a one-piece rail for easy mounting of optics. For the Axis 2 Pro, Savage fashioned an elongated, hexagonal bolt handle with smooth edges that’s slightly oversized and very comfortable to operate. The new stock on the Axis 2 Pro is a hybrid between a precision rifle stock and a traditional hunting stock, with a high comb with negative drop that helps with perceived recoil on the cheek and helps to better position the eye in line with the scope while maintaining a good cheek weld. The rifle feeds from a detachable, flush-fitting, four-round magazine with a push-button release at the very front of the magazine well.
The Axis 2 Pro features a bronze Cerakoted action and barrel and a slightly heavier profile barrel, with a threaded muzzle so you can use a suppressor. Out of the box, the rifle comes with a one-piece, 0-MOA scope rail already installed. Whether you’re heading to the range or the field, this rifle is ready to go right out of the box.
