The Savage Axis II Pro in 400 Legend is a left-handed bolt-action rifle engineered for big game hunting. It features a 20″ heavy sporter threaded barrel with spiral fluting, constructed from carbon steel and finished in Cerakote gun metal bronze. The barrel is threaded 5/8×24 and has a 1:16″ rate of twist.
The receiver matches the barrel in gun metal bronze Cerakote finish and is also carbon steel. The rifle comes equipped with a 1 piece 0 MOA scope base for easy mounting. A single detachable box magazine with 4-round capacity is included, with an ambidextrous magazine release for convenient operation.
The Axis II Pro is built around Savage’s AccuTrigger system, which is fully adjustable with a pull force range of 2.5 to 6 lbs. The synthetic stock features Forest SP Camo finish with a matte appearance and a sporter profile. Two black quick-detach studs are integrated into the stock for sling attachment. There is no pistol grip on this model.
