Shield Arms’ steel mag catch is engineered to perform optimally with the Shield Arms S15 magazine. Although it maintains compatibility with plastic OEM magazines, extended use with plastic mags can result in accelerated wear, and OEM magazines may not drop free reliably. Shield Arms recommends pairing steel with steel or plastic with plastic for best results. If you own a first generation aluminum mag catch, compatibility issues may arise with gen 2 S15 mags, and Shield Arms suggests upgrading to one of their steel catch options.
