Sierra 6mm 85 Grain Spitzer Varminter reloading bullets are engineered for rapid expansion and immediate lethality on larger varmints and small game. These bullets feature thin jackets that promote expansion while maintaining adequate strength to withstand the highest muzzle velocities the intended cartridges can generate. Varminter bullets are offered in hollow point (HP), spitzer pointed flat base (SPT), and semi-pointed (SMP) configurations. Bullets designated as Blitz are optimized for medium velocity loads under 3600 fps. Hornet bullets are constructed to expand reliably in the 2500 to 2800 fps velocity range, though they remain suitable for cartridges producing muzzle velocities up to 3500 fps.
