Sierra MatchKing bullets represent the manufacturer’s flagship target ammunition. Each MatchKing design prioritizes accuracy above all else. These projectiles feature extremely thin jackets manufactured to a stringent concentricity standard of 0.0003 in maximum variation, with weight tolerance held to ±0.3 grain. All MatchKing bullets incorporate a hollow point design paired with a minimal meplat to achieve high ballistic coefficient. Most MatchKing variants employ a boat tail configuration to further reduce drag and enhance ballistic coefficient. While some shooters have employed these bullets for hunting applications, Sierra recommends them exclusively for target shooting.
