The Safariland Model 5198 is a lightweight holster featuring low-cut sides that facilitate a quick draw and an open-top design suited for defensive pistol competition. Its compact profile also makes it practical for concealed carry applications. A trigger guard detent and adjustable tension device work together to maintain secure retention during demanding use. Built from durable thermoformed SafariLaminate™, the holster withstands regular carry, while the STX finish resists wear over time. The 5198 ships with both an injection-molded paddle and belt loop attachment, allowing you to configure carry position and method according to your preference. The Model 5198 open-top concealment holster carries IDPA and USPSA approval.
