The Smith & Wesson M&P FPC is rugged, reliable and loaded with features that are a great fit for a folding carbine intended to be both portable and enjoyable to use. This blowback-operated semi-automatic centerfire rifle features a 16.25-inch 4140 chromoly steel barrel with a matte black finish and 1:10 right-hand twist, paired with a 9/16×24 TPI threaded muzzle. The 10mm caliber benefits from a tungsten-infused two-stage recoil system that features main and secondary recoil springs and a polyurethane bushing.
The polymer receiver features a clamshell configuration split horizontally, secured by six screws at the rear and two pins at the front which serve as the hinge support for the barrel assembly on the left side, and the spring-loaded release lever on the right. Pressing the release lever forward opens the action so that the barrel swings to the left to fold up against the stock assembly. When folded, the M&P FPC is just 16.75 inches long, making it highly portable for vehicle stowage or backcountry carry.
Inspired by M&P handguns, the M&P FPC has a familiar grip and trigger, is compatible with 10mm Auto S&W magazines, has the ability to store additional magazines with its in-stock storage, and features M-LOK slots in the forend to mount accessories. The M&P FPC handguard features an upper Picatinny rail for mounting an optic and M-Lok slots for adding other accessories. The rifle includes a carrying bag with multiple storage compartments to keep components and accessories organized and secure.
