The Sons of Liberty Gun Works M89 Handguard is machined from high quality aluminum and hardcoat anodized black. The revolutionary, patent-pending Drivelock design uses three independent wedges that interface with the angular grooves in a proprietary barrel nut, clamping the rail onto the steel barrel nut with extreme force and precision while also driving the handguard rearward towards the upper receiver.
The 13″ rail features an internal diameter of 1.4″ and Mil-Spec MIL-A-8625F, Type III, Class 2, hard anodized coating with non-reflective NiAc seal finish. The full length picatinny top rail is great for mounting backup iron sights. An M-LOK QD sling socket is included, allowing you to position your sling however you want. The front section of the handguard has M-LOK slots at the 45° angles to give you more options when mounting lights or other accessories.
The 13″ M89 includes a barrel nut, lock-up components, and instructions for installation. The slightly larger internal diameter gives more real estate around the gas block, even more rigidity than the M76, and takes longer to heat.
