The Springfield Armory Tactical Response Pistol (TRP®) was engineered to bring the features and performance of the FBI’s custom pistol into the semi-custom category, establishing itself as a legendary platform. The PC9125LRAOS model carries this tradition forward with a 5-inch match-grade barrel, forged steel frame, and Black Cerakote finish, delivering an 8-round capacity for serious defensive and tactical applications. Developed in partnership with Agency Arms, the AOS system utilizes a series of plates with integrated rear sights compatible with RMR, Shield, Delta Point Pro, and Docter optics footprints.
Building on the Springfield Armory® Professional 1911 design, every TRP pistol is hand-fitted for both form and function. Construction begins with a forged frame and slide selected for strength and durability, with each pair hand-selected for slide-to-frame fit and numbered to ensure their matching components remain paired throughout the build, yielding premium fit with refined blending and consistent performance. All TRP™ pistols feature finely cut sighting plane serrations machined along the top of the slide to enhance the sight picture and maximize light diffusion.
The TRP comes equipped with VZ Hydra G-10 grips and an ambidextrous thumb safety for both comfort and operational control. An integrated light rail provides accessory mounting options, and three 8-round magazines are included with the pistol. The match-grade barrel and bushing combination delivers exceptional accuracy, while Tritium front and black rear sights ensure reliable target acquisition in low-light environments. The Springfield Armory TRP AOS combines full-size configuration with the Agency Optic System (AOS) for direct mounting of red dot sights to support enhanced target engagement.
