The Springfield Armory 1911 TRP offers a fully featured platform specifically designed for demanding 1911 enthusiasts, with pistols undergoing meticulous hand fitting for both form and function. This model features an optics-ready configuration using the Agency Optic System (AOS), which employs a series of plates with an integrated rear sight, compatible with a wide range of today’s most popular optics, including RMR, Shield, Delta Point Pro, and Docter footprints.
The 1911 TRP AOS comes equipped with a forged slide and frame, Cerakote finish, match-grade barrel, and tritium night sights. The rear sight houses two tritium dots and is finely serrated, while the trigger is a new Gen 2 skeletonized speed trigger of medium-long length. The frontstrap is checkered at 20 lines per inch, and each frame has a low-profile ambidextrous safety.
The 1911 TRP five-inch handgun features a forged carbon steel frame and slide with a forged stainless steel barrel, plus an accessory rail forged into the frame. All 1911 TRP pistols have a match-grade barrel with a 1-in-16-inch twist manufactured from hammer-forged stainless steel with a traditional 1911 front bushing.
