Trijicon engineered the RMR Type 2 with a patented housing shape that absorbs impacts and diverts stresses away from the lens to increase durability. The sight features redesigned and upgraded electronics proven to perform when mounted on slide ride pistols and other small arms. It is suitable for military, law enforcement, concealed carry self-defense, target shooting, and hunting applications.
The RMR Type 2 Adjustable LED sight puts illumination control directly in your hands. Side-mounted buttons allow you to adjust brightness, toggle between manual and automatic modes, and power down the optic for storage. In automatic mode, the sight functions identically to the LED RMR version. When manual mode is selected, the RMR remains in that mode for 16.5 hours following the last button press. After 16.5 hours, the optic automatically defaults back to automatic mode, ensuring the RMR is ready for your next mission or task.
All RMR Type 2 Adjustable LED sights are compatible with night vision devices. The buttons can also be locked out so the RMR functions in automatic mode only, preventing inadvertent button pushes from causing a loss of aiming solution. The 3.25 MOA dot size is the most popular option. This dot size is small enough to allow accurate shooting at range while also being big enough to locate quickly, making it the most versatile of all RMR dot sizes.
The RMR Type 2 maintains identical physical dimensions and mounting footprint to the original RMR Type 1. If selecting an RMR for mounting on the Glock MOS, Springfield OSP, Walther PDP, or H&K VP9 Optics Ready, a Trijicon RMR mounting kit (AC32064) is required.
