Underwood Ammo’s Xtreme Defense Platinum 10mm round builds on the proven Xtreme Penetrator product line. The XD ammunition features an optimized nose flute, total weight, and velocity designed to achieve penetration depth up to 18 inches with a permanent wound cavity (PWC). The permanent wound cavity exceeds 100% in diameter and volume compared to other expanding bullets, and expansion is maintained even when fired through barriers. The solid copper body resists degradation from wallboard, sheet metal, and automotive glass, preserving the permanent wound channel integrity. Nickel-plated brass casings deliver improved feeding across all firearm actions, enhanced corrosion resistance compared to traditional brass, improved appearance, and easier cleanup during reloading. Nickel plating prevents tarnishing during storage and when in contact with leather, moisture, and other metals.
