The Weaver Top Mount Base #70 (model 48070) is a one-piece base designed for Japanese 6.5 and 7.7mm rifles, Remington 7 with 3 holes, Remington 600, 660, XP-100, and XR-100 rifles. Machined to tight tolerances for a custom fit, this aluminum base offers maximum strength so that the rings will hold tight.
The base fights the effects of recoil with a square cut notch that mates to the sturdy cross bolt in every Weaver detachable ring. Custom hardened fastening screws come with every Weaver base. This one-piece base includes a shim to fill a 1/4″ gap, ensuring proper fit and repeatability. The base is proudly made in USA.
Compatible with Remington 7 with 3 holes, 600, 660, XP-100, XR-100. Note that Japanese 6.5 and 7.7mm rifles may require bolt and/or safety alterations without which the firearm will not function safely and properly.
