The Wilson Combat EDC X9 redefines the modern defensive handgun by merging the proven slide assembly of the EDC 9 1911 with an all-new high-capacity X-frame. This hybrid design delivers the accuracy, ergonomics, and trigger control of classic 1911 engineering while adding enhanced reliability and concealable capacity in a compact footprint.
The X-frame aluminum construction features reliability-enhanced frame rails and accepts small or large back straps paired with small, medium, or long trigger pads to accommodate all hand sizes. Machine-cut X-Tac tread patterns on the front and back straps provide tactile, nonabrasive grip purchase in all conditions. The pistol fits the majority of holsters designed for 4in or 4.25in 1911 models and is available with or without an accessory rail.
The 4in stainless steel tri-top slide carries a Black DLC finish and features an external extractor, unique X-Tac rear and front cocking serrations, and heavy machine chamfering on the slide bottom. The slide top exhibits 30 LPI serrations while the rear carries 40 LPI serrations. A 4in stainless cone barrel with reliability-enhancing lock-up and flush cut reverse crown is paired with a fluted chamber and fluted barrel.
Additional features include an elevation-adjustable tactical battlesight with fiber optic front sight secured by 4-40 hex head cap screw, a concealment bullet-proof hammer, bullet-proof thumb safety, and bullet-proof magazine release. The trigger pull measures 3½# – 4½# with medium-length pad. The pistol ships with black G10 aggressive starburst grips with pewter medallions and (2) 15-round capacity magazines. Carry cuts and ball endmill cuts complete the design for efficient everyday carry.
