The Winchester XPR Compact in 6.5 Creedmoor is a bolt-action rifle engineered to meet the demands of serious hunters. This rugged, no-nonsense rifle is built to deliver reliable performance and lasting quality, hallmarks of Winchester Repeating Arms.
At the core of the XPR is Winchester’s M.O.A. Trigger System. The trigger housing and all internal components are constructed of polished and hardened carbon steel with a blued finish for durability and corrosion resistance. A two-position safety operates conveniently with your thumb, while the bolt release button—located just forward of the safety—allows you to cycle unfired cartridges with the safety engaged. The cocking indicator on the bolt shroud provides both tactile and visual confirmation of the rifle’s cocked or uncocked status.
The XPR bolt is machined from chromoly steel barstock and through-hardened during heat-treatment. Its three front locking lugs and short 60-degree lift improve scope clearance during cycling. A nickel Teflon coating ensures smooth operation and corrosion resistance. The one-piece trigger guard and magazine frame design features a generous opening for gloved operation.
The chromoly steel barrel is precisely button-rifled for outstanding accuracy across a wide range of bullet weights and types. A free-floating design eliminates pressure points that can rob accuracy. The XPR Compact also includes a drilled and tapped chromoly steel receiver, synthetic stock with Inflex Technology recoil pad, detachable single stack box magazine, shorter LOP, and Perma-Cote metal finish—built to put meat in your freezer for many years to come.
