The Winchester XPR is an innovative rifle engineered to meet the performance expectations of today’s demanding hunters. This rugged, no-nonsense bolt-action rifle is built to deliver reliable performance for years to come, embodying the lasting quality Winchester Repeating Arms is known for.
At the core of every XPR is Winchester’s M.O.A. Trigger System. The trigger housing and all internal components are constructed of polished and hardened carbon steel with a blued finish for durability and corrosion resistance. A two-position safety operates conveniently with your thumb, while the bolt release button—positioned just ahead of the safety—allows you to cycle unfired cartridges with the safety engaged. The cocking indicator on the bolt shroud provides both tactile and visual confirmation of the rifle’s cocked or uncocked state.
The XPR bolt is machined from chromoly steel barstock and through-hardened during heat-treatment. Its design incorporates three front locking lugs and a short 60-degree lift for improved scope clearance during cycling. A nickel Teflon coating ensures smooth operation and corrosion resistance. The one-piece trigger guard and magazine frame design features a generous guard opening to accommodate gloved hands.
The chromoly steel barrel is precisely button-rifled for outstanding accuracy across a wide variety of bullet weights and types, and is completely free-floating to eliminate pressure points that can affect accuracy. The drilled and tapped chromoly steel receiver accepts optional accessories, while the synthetic stock incorporates Inflex Technology recoil pad. The rifle ships with a detachable single stack box magazine and is chambered in 243 Winchester with a 20-inch barrel and black finish.
