The Winchester XPR Compact is a bolt-action rifle engineered to meet the demands of modern hunters. Built with the lasting quality Winchester Repeating Arms is known for, this rugged rifle delivers reliable performance season after season.
At the core of every XPR is Winchester’s M.O.A. Trigger System. The trigger housing and all internal components are constructed of polished and hardened carbon steel with a blued finish for durability and corrosion resistance. A two-position safety operates conveniently with your thumb, while the bolt release button—located just in front of the safety—allows you to cycle unfired cartridges with the safety engaged. The cocking indicator on the bolt shroud provides both tactile and visual confirmation of the rifle’s cocked or uncocked state.
The XPR bolt is crafted from chromoly steel barstock and through-hardened during heat-treatment. The design incorporates three front locking lugs and a short 60-degree lift for improved scope clearance when cycling. A nickel Teflon coating ensures smooth operation and added corrosion resistance. The one-piece trigger guard and magazine frame design features a generous guard opening for gloved use.
The precisely button-rifled chromoly steel barrel is free-floating to eliminate pressure points that can rob accuracy. The drilled and tapped chromoly steel receiver accepts a detachable single stack box magazine. This Compact model is fitted with a shorter length of pull and features a Perma-Cote metal finish, paired with a synthetic stock equipped with Inflex Technology recoil pad. The Winchester XPR Compact in 243 Winchester with a 20-inch barrel delivers the accuracy and reliability hunters depend on.
