At the core of every XPR is Winchester’s M.O.A. Trigger System. The trigger housing and internal components are constructed of polished and hardened carbon steel with a blued finish, providing durability and corrosion resistance. A two-position safety operates conveniently under the thumb, while the bolt release button—positioned just ahead of the safety—allows you to cycle unfired cartridges with the safety engaged. The cocking indicator on the bolt shroud offers both tactile and visual confirmation of the rifle’s cocked or uncocked state.
The XPR bolt is machined from chromoly steel barstock and through-hardened during heat treatment. Its design features three front locking lugs and a short 60-degree lift for improved scope clearance during cycling. A nickel Teflon coating ensures smooth operation and additional corrosion resistance. The one-piece trigger guard and magazine frame design provides a generous opening for gloved operation.
The button-rifled chromoly steel barrel is precisely crafted for outstanding accuracy across a wide range of bullet weights and types. A free-floating barrel eliminates pressure points that can compromise accuracy. The rifle features a drilled and tapped chromoly steel receiver, a synthetic stock equipped with an Inflex Technology recoil pad, and a detachable single stack box magazine—a rugged, no-nonsense rifle that will deliver results for many years to come.
