At the core of the XPR is Winchester’s M.O.A. Trigger System. The trigger housing and internal components are constructed of polished and hardened carbon steel with a blued finish, providing durability and corrosion resistance. A two-position safety operates conveniently with your thumb, while a bolt release button located just forward of the safety allows you to cycle unfired cartridges without disengaging the safety. The cocking indicator on the bolt shroud provides both tactile and visual feedback of the rifle’s cocked or uncocked state.
The XPR bolt is forged from chromoly steel barstock and through-hardened during heat-treatment. Its three front locking lugs and 60-degree lift improve scope clearance during cycling. A nickel Teflon coating ensures smooth operation and corrosion resistance. The one-piece trigger guard and magazine frame feature a generous guard opening for gloved shooting.
The chromoly steel barrel is button-rifled for accuracy across a wide range of bullet weights and types. A free-floating barrel design eliminates pressure points that can affect accuracy. The rifle includes a drilled and tapped chromoly steel receiver, synthetic stock with Inflex Technology recoil pad, and a detachable single stack box magazine.
