The Winchester XPR Compact in 6.8 Western is a rugged rifle built to meet the demands of serious hunters. Featuring Winchester Repeating Arms’ renowned quality and performance, the XPR delivers reliability across a wide range of hunting conditions.
At the core of the XPR is Winchester’s M.O.A. Trigger System, with trigger housing and internal components constructed from polished and hardened carbon steel finished in blue for durability and corrosion resistance. The two-position safety operates conveniently under your thumb, while the bolt release button—positioned just forward of the safety—allows you to cycle unfired cartridges with the safety engaged. A cocking indicator on the bolt shroud provides both tactile and visual confirmation of the rifle’s cocked or uncocked state.
The XPR bolt is machined from chromoly steel barstock and through-hardened during heat treatment. Its design incorporates three front locking lugs and a short 60-degree lift for improved scope clearance during operation. A nickel Teflon coating ensures smooth cycling and resists corrosion.
The precisely button-rifled chromoly steel barrel delivers consistent accuracy across varying bullet weights and types. A free-floating design eliminates pressure points that can compromise precision. The receiver is drilled and tapped chromoly steel, paired with a synthetic stock featuring Inflex Technology recoil pad. The one-piece trigger guard and magazine frame provides ample clearance for gloved operation. The rifle feeds from a detachable single stack box magazine with 3-round capacity.
The XPR Compact in 6.8 Western, with its 22-inch barrel, is engineered to put meat in your freezer for years to come.
