The Winchester XPR is an innovative rifle engineered to meet the performance expectations of today’s demanding hunters. This rugged, no-nonsense bolt-action rifle from Winchester Repeating Arms embodies the lasting quality the brand is known for, delivering reliable performance season after season.
At the core of the XPR is Winchester’s M.O.A. Trigger System. The trigger housing and all internal components are constructed of polished and hardened carbon steel with a blued finish, providing durability and corrosion resistance. A two-position safety operates conveniently with your firing hand thumb, while the bolt release button—located just ahead of the safety—allows the action to cycle unfired cartridges with the safety engaged. The cocking indicator on the bolt shroud provides both tactile and visual confirmation of the rifle’s cocked or uncocked state.
The XPR bolt is forged from chromoly steel barstock and through-hardened during heat-treatment. Its design incorporates three front locking lugs and a short 60-degree lift for improved scope clearance during cycling. A nickel Teflon coating ensures smooth operation and corrosion resistance. The one-piece trigger guard and magazine frame design features a generous opening for gloved use.
Accuracy comes from a precisely button-rifled chromoly steel barrel with a free-floating design that eliminates pressure points affecting precision. The drilled and tapped chromoly steel receiver accepts standard mounting systems. The XPR ships with a synthetic stock fitted with an Inflex Technology recoil pad and includes a detachable single stack box magazine. This 30-06 Springfield model features a 24-inch barrel in thumbhole configuration and delivers the reliability Winchester hunters have depended on for generations.
