XS Sights R3D Night Sights deliver a traditional 3-dot tritium sight picture with notch and post configuration. The tritium front sight incorporates a proprietary photoluminescent green Glow Dot that absorbs ambient light and glows in low-light conditions. The 2-dot tritium rear sight is blacked-out and illuminates to provide proper sight alignment without outshining the front sight for accurate indexing.
The R3D design prioritizes front-sight focus by using a brighter tritium vial in the front sight, with the tritium’s light charging the Glow Dot slightly. This arrangement makes the front sight glow more brightly than the two tritium vials in the rear, maintaining downrange focus. Front sight dimensions are 0.500″ length, 0.145″ width, and 0.215″ height. Rear sight dimensions are 0.345″ length, 0.600″ width, and 0.300″ height.
