Weatherby Mark V Backcountry Titanium 6.5 Creedmoor Bolt Action Rifle

Weatherby’s next-generation Backcountry 2.0 Ti Carbon brings together a tensioned carbon fiber barrel with the lightweight and durable titanium Weatherby Mark V action. The standout feature is the carbon fiber Peak 44 Blacktooth stock, with the lightest versions weighing under 20 ounces. A 3DHEX recoil pad is integrated into the design, featuring interlocking voids that progressively collapse during recoil, extending the recoil impulse duration and reducing the sharp kick of magnum chamberings. The lightweight fluted barrel is fitted with Weatherby’s Accubrake ST. Spiral fluting on the bolt body reduces weight while minimizing bearing surface in the action for smoother operation. The bolt handle is threaded and fitted with a lightweight aluminum extended and skeletonized knob. Built as the lightest possible rifle and chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, the Backcountry 2.0 is a worthy successor to the throne.
