The Beretta A400 Xtreme Plus is a semi-automatic shotgun in 12 gauge built around Beretta’s Steelium Plus barrels, which use cold hammer forging and triple forcing cone technology to deliver superior shot patterns while managing recoil. The 12.5″ forcing cone controls pellet spread as they leave the barrel, minimizing both felt recoil and muzzle jump. A 7x7mm stepped rib with a wider plane tops the barrel, featuring an integral steel midbead and fiber-optic front bead for fast target acquisition.
The B-Link gas operation system pairs a rotating bolt for reliable, precise cycling across the full spectrum of loads—from light target ammunition to heavy 3.5″ hunting rounds. The Kick-Off Mega stock incorporates hydraulic shock absorbers to further reduce perceived recoil and muzzle jump. An extended charging handle and bolt release, combined with an enlarged loading port, make operation more manageable in severe weather, while Steelium Plus barrels reduce felt recoil during shooting.
The receiver is drilled and tapped for attachment of a Picatinny rail (not included) and arrives with 5 Black edition extended choke tubes. Field disassembly requires no tools and takes seconds. The reversible cross-bolt safety is positioned at the front of the trigger guard for immediate access by both right- and left-hand shooters.
