The Weatherby Oryx Synthetic is a 12 Gauge semi-auto shotgun built on Weatherby’s field-proven inertia recoil system. It features a 28″ barrel, 3.50″ chamber, and 2-round capacity, topped with a fiber optic front sight and push button safety. The receiver and barrel are coated with Cerakote for protection against harsh conditions, and the inertia system is simple and robust for straightforward maintenance.
An aggressive competition cut on the receiver speeds up reloading cycles, while oversized controls—including the bolt release button, charging handle, and safety—perform reliably in challenging shooting conditions. Adjustable stock shims allow you to fine-tune cast and fitment to your needs. The Oryx accommodates left-handed shooters through Weatherby’s Shift System, which includes a cut on the left side of the receiver that enables quick swapping of the charging handle and safety reversal.
This shotgun is compatible with the CRIO Plus choke tube pattern and comes equipped with 5 chokes (cylinder, improved cylinder, modified, improved modified, full), a choke wrench, and a carrying case. The SORIX is crafted in Italy, with hand-painted brush patterns finished in Sheridan, WY.
