The Hornady Match Grade Bushing 594243 is a self-centering, interchangeable bushing engineered for extreme precision in neck sizing. Featuring a polished steel finish and 0.243-inch diameter, this component is designed for use with Hornady neck sizing dies and fits in Hornady Match-Grade full length and neck sizing dies, where it self-centers in the die body.
This bushing gives reloaders total control over neck tension in the resizing process by allowing selection of interchangeable, self-centering neck size bushings that eliminate the chance of oversizing case necks and overworking brass. The inside diameter of the bushing determines the neck size when brass is inserted into the die. While standard dies size to SAAMI minimum specification, this is often unnecessary as particular rifles, brass types, and chambers may not require minimum dimensions—and less sizing results in less working of the brass.
Available in .002-inch increments, the 243 bushing is designed for 6mm PPC and .243 Winchester cartridges. Tight tolerances at the press translate into tighter groups at the range, making this bushing an essential component for match-grade reloading and competitive shooting applications.
