The Beretta A400 Xtreme Plus features Beretta’s exclusive Steelium Plus barrels, a first for hunting shotguns providing the best patterning possible from all hunting loads, along with further felt recoil mitigation. The 7x7mm stepped rib on top sports a wider plane, along with an integral steel midbead and a fiber-optic front bead. This semi-automatic 12-gauge shotgun features a 26 in Steelium Plus OptimaBore HP vent-rib barrel and 3.5 in chamber, with five extended Optima HP choke tubes.
Its synthetic stock combines Beretta’s Kick-Off system with an ultra-soft Micro-Core butt-pad, to minimize recoil and is designed to recoil parallel to the cheek mount. An oversized charging handle and bolt release facilitate operation with cold, gloved hands, while the expanded and beveled loading port reduces thumb bite. The proven A400 action features a rotating bolt, and a self-cleaning piston to ensure the shotgun operates in all conditions with minimal maintenance. The cross-bolt safety is positioned at the front of the trigger guard, where the hunter can find it instantaneously, and is reversible for right- and left-hand shooters.
Ideal for upland or waterfowl hunting as well as target shooting, the action gives fast follow-up shots and is equipped with built-in rails, so you can easily mount optics. The receiver is drilled and tapped to attach a Picatinny rail (not included). Delivered with five Black Edition Optima-Choke HP (High Performance) choke tubes in Cylinder (C), improved-cylinder (IC), modified (M), improved-modified (IM), and full (F) chokes.
