The 1-1/4oz payload features a 15 percent layer of 9.6 g/cc HEVI-Bismuth pellets positioned over steel shot to achieve extended effective range and tighter patterns. The HEVI-Bismuth component is alloyed and cast in Sweet Home Oregon, while precision steel comprises the remaining 85 percent of the payload. HEVI-Bismuth delivers 38 percent more lethal range over steel with No. 2 and 3 shot, and 41 percent more with No. 4, resulting in more clean kills at longer distances and improved cold-weather performance.
