GG&G remains the sole manufacturer of lens covers designed specifically for EOTech XPS scopes. These patented covers install between the EOTech XPS2-0 and 3-0 hood and the EOTech housing body. Spring-operated mechanisms allow the covers to snap open when pressure is applied to release them from the closed position. The rear cover positions itself across the top of the optic to maintain an unobstructed field of view. The front cover opens to function as a sun shield, and will fold back when encountering heavy brush or similar obstacles to prevent damage. Due to the EOTech housing design, these covers do not achieve complete waterproofing, but they effectively block most dust, debris, rain, and snow from settling on the lenses.
