The Springfield Armory Hellion 5.56 NATO represents an innovative approach to semi-automatic rifle design, combining the advantages of bullpup configuration with modern ergonomics. The bullpup layout positions the action behind the trigger, delivering a compact overall length while the 20″ CMV Melonite barrel with 1:7 twist maintains strong ballistic performance. The rifle features ambidextrous controls throughout: non-reciprocating charging handle, safety switch, and reversible case ejection system for adaptability regardless of shooter preference.
