Built on Weatherby’s Model 307 bolt action platform, the Alpine MDT Carbon complements the historic Mark V and Vanguard lineups. The Model 307 action features 2-lugs and a fully cylindrical design that accepts many aftermarket accessories. The rifle is mounted in MDT’s HNT26 Chassis System, their first purpose-built hunting rifle chassis. This chassis delivers v-block bedding, adjustable length of pull, adjustable comb, and AICS magazine compatibility. Constructed from magnesium alloy, carbon fiber forend, carbon fiber pistol grip, and carbon fiber buttstock, the chassis weighs just 26oz. The forend includes an integral ARCA rail for tripod attachment and features a foldable buttstock for compact storage. A BSF carbon barrel provides accuracy and is paired with Weatherby’s Accubrake DST (Directional Self-Timing Brake) muzzle brake.
