Market Notes

Ammunition led the week by a wide margin, with PMC X-TAC 5.56 NATO moving 2,400 units to claim the top spot outright. That .223/5.56 dominance at the caliber level reflects steady AR-platform demand that shows no signs of cooling. Eley's rimfire offerings took two of the top five ammunition slots, pointing to sustained interest in competitive and recreational .22 LR shooting.

The 28 gauge number stands out. Winchester AA Sporting moved 665 units, and 28 gauge ranked fifth overall among calibers — notable for a specialty shotshell that rarely cracks the upper tier. Clay sports participation appears to be driving real purchase volume, not just browsing.

Sig Sauer owned the optics category completely, with both Romeo5 Gen II variants combining for nearly 3,000 units and three additional Sig optics rounding out the top five. The Ruger 5.7x28mm magazine two-pack also signals continued consumer interest in the Ruger-57 platform.
